Rod and Teresa RossBowlers Connection, Inc. is owned and operated by Rod & Teresa Ross. Bowlers Connection opened its first pro shop location in Pacifica, CA. in August of 1997 and opened its second pro shop location in Manteca CA. in March of 2003.

Bowlers Connection is devoted to the development of bowlers as well as the source for bowling equipment, instructional lessons, clinics, training and knowledge of today’s game.

Bowlers Connection’s Training PIT, located in Manteca CA is the premier bowling training facility in the western United States. Bowlers Connection’s Training PIT utilizes Bowlers MAP Gold computer video motion analysis, has two lanes with the C.A.T.S. (Computer Aided Tracking System) shot tracking system installed as well as DigiTrax ball motion analysis and tracking.

Rod Ross has owned/operated bowling pro shops and been coaching bowling for over 25 years. Rod’s first pro shop, the Bowlers Den, opened in 1983, was located in Pocatello ID. Rod moved to California in 1994 and operated the Bowlers Paradise pro shop located in San Jose from 1994 to 1997. In 1997 he along with Teresa formed Bowlers Connection and opened their first pro shop in Pacifica, CA.

Rod is a Gold Level Certified Coach as well as the Master Instructor for USBC Coaching. Rod is currently the Head Coach of Junior Team USA and a Bronze and Silver Level Instructor for USBC Coaching. Rod served on the board of directors for IBPSIA (International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association), trains and advises pro shop operators around the world with his extensive knowledge of today’s equipment, and also serves as a consultant to ball manufactures. Rod worked for Professional Bowling Camps in the 1980’s and 1990’s training bowlers across the country. Rod is the personal coach for PWBA champions Kim Terrell, Leanne Barrette and Dede Davidson as well as coached several current and past PBA Champions.

Rod developed the coaching video motion analysis software program called BowlersMAP, currently being marketed by Ebonite International, and is the number one bowling coaching software in the world. This program provides coaches the ability to analyze their students utilizing computers and video analysis. Bowlers can also use this BowlersMAP to help them with their game. Rod also developed DigiTrax ball motion tracking software and currently is patent pending.

Rod was awarded the USOC National Coach of the year for bowling in 2004, and was awarded the USOC “Doc” Counsilman Award for advanced use of science and technology in bowling in 2005, and currently the only bowling coach to ever receive the award.

Teresa Ross is the co-owner of Bowlers Connection, Inc. and the pro shop in Pacifica was her first business venture. About 9 years prior she worked at the Terre & Company Pro Shop in Millbrae CA. Now 6 years later she is on her second pro shop venture in Manteca, CA.

Teresa is a Junior Olympic Level I & II Coach, as well as a USA Bowling Silver Certified Coach. And in February of 2004 she became a Dick Ritger level 1 certified coach. Teresa has been coaching bowlers since 1978, and currently is a USBC Level One Instructor. Teresa is the personal coach of Tracy Castro, who as a 17 year old won the 1998 Junior Scratch Division Coca-Cola Finals in New York, and later as an adult won the Women’s California Queens title in 2001. As an avid bowler herself, Teresa’s main focus is on helping bowlers achieve their goals through lessons, instruction and training.

Teresa was awarded the USOC National Developmental Coach of the Year for bowling in 2006, and currently is an assistance coach for Junior Team USA.
